Service levels are usually pretty vague and measurements can range from a scale of 1 to 10 to performance frequencies and repair response times. But can consistency be ensured over time and between facilities to make valid comparisons?
A Facility Performance Index application
provides an ASTM performance standard that can establish consistent
service level setpoints and provide an effective means of measuring
those setpoints for different locations, between similar operations,
as a means to evaluate vendor performance and/or from one point
in time to another.
